Drum Storage

If you have a requirement to store several drums there is a good chance you will need to keep them outside. If this is the case, or you simply want to add extra protection to those held indoors, Seton’s range of fully-enclosed drum storage units and sump cabinets are ideal. Substances kept in drums are often a fire and/or safety hazard or at risk of theft and misuse so it is important to be confident your storage solution is doing the best possible job.

Secure Drum Containment Options

Drums can be used to store a variety of chemicals and harmful substances. It is important to find a means of storage that works for you, your business, and the environment in which you operate. Each option fulfils a different height and weight requirement and can be used to store several different drums and substances.

Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the economy drum store is both secure and weather resistant. It provides a large amount of storage space for drums and accessories of all types. The galvanised mesh floor will contain spills and leaks without needing any further clear up measures.

If you need to store large quantities of flammable materials, a dedicated flame-resistant storage unit is an absolute must. This will protect the contents by delaying their exposure to fire for up to 30 minutes. It is also well ventilated to prevent dangerous fumes from building up and meets all current regulations.

All of walk-in our drum units, including general purpose safety stores and hazard huts, provide a similar level of protection and storage. The use of a ramp will allow drum handling equipment to access the store, eliminating risks associated with manual handling. Be sure to consider this very worthwhile accessory when selecting your storage items. If you are likely to use your unit for storing substances that aren’t contained in drums remember to include some additional storage. Bunded shelves and small chemical cabinets are available or standard shelves can be purchased for tools or other items. Finally, ensure signage in the storage area is up to date and clearly shows the nature of the hazards stored, any specialist instructions for their storage or handling, and whether personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

On a smaller scale, are our polyethylene drum racker and stacker and hardcover spill pallets. These are ideal for storing small amounts of hazardous substances and include several clever safety features to prevent accidental leaks. The spill pallet can be used in or out of doors whilst the racker and stacker are ideal for smaller spaces indoors.

Each storage container is designed to be safe and secure. This will protect anyone who may be working near the contained chemicals and also the drums themselves, from misuse or theft.
