Good to know

Like other personal protection equipment, a proper fit is necessary to ensure safety work gloves provide maximum hand protection.

Going by a ‘one size fits all’ shortcut for work gloves is not recommended. Manufacturing gloves using accurate anatomical measurements allows for a snug fit, which provides wearers with proper control and manoeuvrability. As such, quality gloves are designed with a significant degree of attention given to shape and size of the hand.

The measurement of the wearer’s hand is best taken into account when ordering your new work gloves.

For best results, place the tape measure around the widest part of the palm for the width. Measure the length of your hand by positioning the tape measure from the wrists to the end of the middle finger.

For work gloves, special design features (knitted cuffs, etc.) measuring the wrist circumference of the wearer is recommended as well. In certain occasions where the fit feels a bit too tight, selecting gloves a half size bigger may be permissible.

These measurements should be checked against the glove manufacturer's recommendations to provide employees with the most optimal gloves.
