Work Trousers with Extra Protection and Comfort
The Dickies Redhawk Action Trousers are the perfect choice of workwear, particularly for those who value comfort and strong protection. They feature a robust zip for extra longevity, and the zipped pockets mean tools and equipment can be carried securely. The external knee pouches are ideal for inserting Dickies Action Trousers Knee Pads, which offer additional comfort when kneeling.

Employers must determine whether there are processes or activities that can be changed to eliminate the need for work safety equipment. If they do find any, employers should take the steps to carry them out.

If, however, personal protective equipment (PPE) and/or other safety supplies are necessary, then managers should ensure that such equipment is readily available.

Here are some considerations regarding safety clothing (trousers, coveralls, etc) and other gear that should be addressed:

Is there an adequate budget for employee work safety gear?
What existing legislation covers the safety equipment required in the workplace?
Have the task requirements been properly assessed in order to ensure that suitable equipment is selected and provided?
Are there protocols in place to ensure ease and compatibility in cases where more than one piece of safety gear is used?
When applicable, does the PPE comply with UK legislation implementing EC directives concerning design and manufacture (is it CE-marked?)
Does the establishment provide appropriate information, instruction and training for employees regarding employee work gear?
Is there a system of maintenance and replacement for safety equipment, and appropriate record keeping?
Is there a PPE loss/defect reporting system in place?
