Heat-resistant welding gloves are indispensable in the manufacturing industry. These heavy duty gloves can protect workers’ hands from contact heat, radiant heat, flying sparks, and even flame-ups. Carefully tested for a number of heat resistant properties and meeting EN407 standards heat resistant gloves are manufactured to meet specific hazards. Click here for more information on EN407 and the types of heat protection these gloves can offer.
Welding gloves are divided into four main types:
1. MIG welding gloves – meant for metal inert gas (MIG) welding, which uses an electric arc that heats metals and eventually melts and joins them
2. TIG welding gloves – used for tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding, which employs a non-consumable electrode (in the form of tungsten) to weld
3. Vibration-dampening gloves – help welders to weld steadily, minimizing the vibrations caused by their environment
4. High-heat/temperature welding gloves – best for welding in areas exposed to flames and high heat
