What's the measurement?
Daily exposure of 85dB and a peak of 140 pascals
What does the business need to do?
The noise must be reduced so far as is reasonably practicable (including the provision of hearing protection)
If the noise cannot be reduced then an 'ear protection zone' must be identified and clearly marked (with the use of signs etc).
Hearing protection must be provided to all entering the zone and the employer must ensure that it is worn.
