Changes to the resuscitation guidelines by the Resuscitation Council mean that many posters, guides and other training materials now carry out-of-date information. New guidelines issued in November 2005 saw a significant change in how first aiders should administer CPR in the event of an emergency:
	The number of compressions should increase from 15 to 30 for every 2 breaths (30:2 ratio) for both adults and children.
	The change is based on scientific evidence gathered since the year 2000 and will give the victim the best chance of a successful resuscitation. It is recommended that all literature and training is updated to reflect these changes.
