Good to know

When working in manual labour or industries like construction, utilities, transport, logistics, and heavy engineering, it is imperative that your work gloves have high compliance with European Standard EN 388. The Polyco Reinforced Palm Gloves feature an EN 388 rating of 4243, which denotes impressive resistance against abrasion, cutting, tearing, and punctures. But how can we tell this?

Each EN 388 score consists of four digits, reflecting the score achieved by subjecting work glove samples to rigorous mechanical hazard testing in accordance with EN 388 standards.

The first number in the EN 388 score for work gloves indicates abrasion resistance, on a scale of 0 to 4.
The second number in the EN 388 score for work gloves indicates cutting resistance, on a scale of 0 to 5.
The third number in the EN 388 score for work gloves indicates tearing resistance, on a scale of 0 to 4.
The fourth number in the EN 388 score for work gloves indicates puncture resistance, on a scale of 0 to 4.
