Good to know

Personnel working in the industrial sector are sometimes situated within work areas that may be described as Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH). These are areas wherein harmful gases, chemicals, or particles are present. Environments that are oxygen-deficient (areas with oxygen concentration levels below 17%) also present serious health hazards.

Hazardous substances also include dust, vapours, mist, fumes, and smoke. Workers who inhale such contaminants put their body systems at risk, especially their nervous and respiratory systems. In some instances, breathing in these substances can trigger allergic reactions, such as asthma.

Employers have two ways to protect their employees against these hazards. The first is by dealing with the hazard at the source. Managers are required to prevent harmful substances from entering the air employees breathe in. They can do this by providing proper ventilation, isolating the hazard, and maintaining other safety systems to ensure workers are not put at risk.

In the event that the hazards will not be adequately eliminated by such means, employers can provide their workers with respiratory protective equipment (RPE). Masks, respirators, and similar safety equipment are designed to protect the user from breathing in contaminated or oxygen-deficient air.

A wide range of protective face masks is available on the market. Choose the best ones today from Seton UK.

Customer Reviews

100% of customers liked this product

Service: can't complain at all about the service though I am concerned that I will now receive copy after copy of the printed catalogue that I don't really want or need.

The ordering, processing and delivery channels are all very clearly communicated at every stage, the best I've encountered so far!

Product: put this on to clear some ash but didn't sit too well on my face (I'm a small female) though pretty much worked as they should do, maybe down to how I put the mask on!

Service: Good customer service and very helpful.

Product: Good

Service: Customer service from Claire and Nadine was excellent
