Good to know

Nitrile rubber is used in a variety of materials in the industrial world from fuel and oil handling hoses, seals, grommets, and chemical resistant work gloves. Compared to natural rubber, nitrile rubber provides better resistance against oils and acids. It also is three times more puncture-resistant. However, it does come at a cost, flexibility is often far less than that found in natural rubber gloves. This makes nitrile gloves a bit problematic when having to do extremely fine and dexterous tasks during the course of a workday.

Theoretically, nitrile gloves can offer some of the best protection for your workforce. However, these gloves should not be used when working with nitric acid or strong oxidizers as it may cause the gloves to spontaneously oxidize. This could cause thermal and chemical burns.
