Deafgard
Ensure all your guests 'hear' a fire alarm
- Under the mandatory terms of the DDA, all hoteliers are legally obliged to make provision for the needs of the deaf and hard of hearing
- Deafgard is a safe, reliable and portable unit that uses wire-free technology to communicate a fire alarm to the deaf and hard of hearing
- The deafgard is ideal for hotels and other sleeping risk applications to ensure compliance with DDA recommendations
- To use, simply place the deafgard receiver unit at the bedside and the vibrator pad under the pillow
- If a fire alarm sounds, the receiver 'hears' the alarm, a high-intensity strobe on receiver flashes and the pad vibrates to wake the sleeping guest
- The deafgard incorporates an alarm clock facility
- Requires 4 x 1.5v C size alkaline batteries (not supplied)
- Complies with BS EN 50081-1 and BS EN 50082-1
- Weighs 830g
